Health insurance protection - phone your legislator!

On another part of the Retiree web-page are sample letters that we are
asking you to send to your NYS legislators. We have also included Senate and
Assembly lists which include addresses and phone numbers. We urge you to
download these letters today and add your own thoughts from the accompanying
Idea Generator. (To download these letters, you will need Adobe Reader which is
available through the link at the bottom of the right-hand border on the Retiree
web-page.)
We also urge you to get on the phone to your legislators
and tell them the same things. The Retiree Executive Board and the Statewide
Executive have already sent letters to all of the legislators, particularly the
Senate and Assembly leadership, with encouraging results. But that isn’t
enough! If we are to be successful, we need YOU
to also let the legislators know how important this is.
Send the letters and make the calls. Use the Idea
Generators to help you make your point. As you run across other
Retirees
, encourage them to do the same thing. We can’t afford a statewide mailing to
all 15,000 names in our database but with your help, we can pass the word and
let our representatives in
Albany
know that we care about our health care and we intend to do everything we can
to ensure that we keep it!
